Revision of Parliament Library website. 2.Parliament Digital Library to be brought under the e-resources of Parliament Library. 3.Visit of Members of Library Committee to re-organise Members Reading Room, PLB and Circulation Counter. (B) Follow up action on the issues discussed in the First meeting- 1.Display of books written by and on higher dignitaries in Members Reading Room, PLB. 2.Seeking membership of DELNET. 3.Increasing access and utilisation of Parliament Library. 4.Display/exhibition of selective books on particular subjects to be discussed in the meetings of DRSCs at the meeting venue or in the Parliament Library. 5.Visit of Parliament Library Committee to the National Library, Kolkata. 6.Display of Rare books at Rare Books Wall, Members Reading Room, PLB. 7.Celebration of 100 years of Parliament Library. 8.A personal request may be made to the Party Leader/Whips by the Library staff to acquire the literature of political parties, manifestos and other related material for addition into the holdings of Parliament Library. 9.Display/exhibition of new arrivals of books at Central Hall, Parliament House during session period. 10.A note may be prepared about the features of the Library, its historical importance, rich resources available in the Library for announcement by the Honourable Speaker before the commencement of the House for maximum use by the Members of Parliament. 11.A workshop may be conducted either virtual or physical for PA/PS of the Members Parliament about the functioning of Parliament Library. A para may separately be issued in the Bulletin regarding the workshop. (C) New developments in Parliament Library from 10.02.2021 onwards: 1.Wider publicity of Parliament Library. 2.Informed the Honourable Members of Parliament regarding online catalogue library services, J-Gate, e-newspapers and periodicals, etc. 3.Response to books donation written by Honourable Members for Book Wall. 4.Books donated by senior officers and officials. 5.Display of select Books for You in the Members Reading Room, 45, PH. | |
