Social activities.—As a trade unionist and a social worker, rendered welfare services to workers and the people and got several libraries, colleges and hospitals established in Jamshedpur and Sindri; Member, Sri Aurobindo Society, Pondicherry, since 1962.

Hobbies.—Kitchen gardening, cooking and travelling.

Favourite pastime and recreation.—Yoga.

Special interests.--Rendering personal service to the poor and the needy.

Travels abroad.—Europe, Japan, Hong Kong, Thailand and U.S.A.
