Kannau—1971, Son of late Pandit Tej Narain Mishra; b. at Kanpur, February 28, 1911; ed. at Coronation Hindu High School, Moradabad, Sanatan Dharam College, Kanpur, Agra University and Allahabad University; m. Shrimati Hemlata Misra, May 4, 1927; 2 s, and 5 d.; Advocate; joined Congress Movement on the call of Mahatma Gandhi in 1921 and took active part in Quit India Movement in 1942; joined Ram Rajya Parishad in 1952; rejoined Congress in 1966; Director of Cotton Corporation of India; was Managing Director (i) Commercial and Financial Corporation Ltd., (ii) Power and Products Ltd. and (iii) Director Popular Bank of India Ltd; President, (i) U.P. Lawyers Conference 1961-62, (ii) U.P. Advocate Association, (iii) All India Federation of National Lawyers, (iv) All India Lawyers Anti-Corruption Board, (v) All India Railway Legalmens' Association, (vi) Indian Section of the World Organisation known as International Association of Penal Law, (vii) All India Kanyakubj Mahasabha and (viii) All India Civic Rights and Legal Aid Society; was President, All India Accountant General 4th Grade Employees Association and Postal Union, Allahabad; Vice-President, Allahabad High Court Employees Association; General Secretary and Vice-President Allahabad Homoeopathic Medical College and Hospital; Secretary, Council for the Aid of Crippled and Handicapped, New Delhi; Member of the U.P. Social activities.—Patron President and Vice-President of numerous educational and religious institutions; also member of various governing bodies of religious, educational, cultural, sports and lawyers associations.

Hobbies.—Homoeopathy, Poetry, Palmistry, Architecture.

Favourite pastime and recreation.—Gardening, animals and birds.

Special interests.—Study of Laws and social conditions, working on the Gandhian Philosophy of Prayer, Purity, Peace and Production for the uplift and prosperity of the country and the nation.
