Kripalani; was Professor of Constitutional History, Banaras Hindu University; Secretary, Women's Section, Indian National Congress and its Foreign Department for one and-a-half years; imprisoned in 1940 and 1944 for participating in Congress movements; Member, (1) Working Committee, A.I.C.C, 1947; (2) Board of Trustees, Gandhi National Memorial Trust and also of its Executive Committee; Organising Secretary, Kasturba Gandhi National Memorial Trust, 1945—47; Ex-Secretary, Relief Section, Indian National Congress; Ex-Chairman, Inquiry Committee re: Industrial Finance Corporation; Leader, (1) Parliamentary Delegation to Turkey, November, 1954; (2) Indian Delegation, to the I.L.O.
